Ceremonies
In preparation for an important religious Hindu event on August 29, there are many roadside shops that offer the handwoven decorations that go with the offerings. These are made from mostly rotan and some are very pricy for local standards (up to 10 euros). At least one offering is made every day, and next week's event is a very important Hindu religious holiday, so we're looking forward to attending the festivities (and hopefully, a Hindu ceremony). From what we hear, there will be ceremonies everywhere, even in our hotel.
