Pomp and Circumstance
Another expression that I think is great, but perhaps is not applicable to what I'm going to try describe. Yesterday, we lucked out on ceremonies, as we drove by a large procession towards one of the many temples that Bali holds, but also saw a funeral procession, a wedding procession, and back in the hotel got to see the preparations for a wedding ceremony on-site.
'Decorations' is too simple of a word for the elaborate works of art that go into the dressing up of the bare on which the corps is carried, or with which the wedding altar has been designed. Let alone how beautiful the bride and groom look, these people are gorgeous.
