The island of artists
Je suis une artiste. Well, personally, I'm not, but I just love how that sounds. It would apply, however, to many of the 3 million inhabitants of this island, as we drive by miles and miles of displays of creativity. From stone sculptures to wood carving to paintings to gold and silver smithing, it seems to be all here. And we drive by too fast for me to capture it all. We did manage to stop a few times, but if we had stopped everywhere where I saw something we'd be up all night. And the next day. And the next night. And so on, and so forth.

Patience is a virtue. I should remember that.
