Pretty flowers
I was told that these flowers (or this plant) is a type of ginger, and that it's used in making Balinese sambal (spicey red sauce). The explanation was in Indonesian, so I'm sure I missed a thing or two. Regardless, these are pretty flowers. And they do remind me a bit of the rose-colored ginger that's often served with sushi.
