Or, 'kruidnagels', as they're called in Dutch. This has been a pretty profitable spice for its growers. At 6 euro per kilo, compared to 20 eurocents for a kilo of rice, that's not very surprising. In any case, I think the fresh, non-dried version is beautiful.
